Getting movie Colors for TLK styled characters?WELL!!!
I have 2 notes and a comment or two asking how I get movie colors. So, instead of repeating myself, I figured I'd just make a journal about it. To share with everyone all at once! This can be a long one.... so bare with me.
THIS IS ALL THE RESULT OF MY PERSONAL PRACTICE AND OBSERVATIONS OF THE LION KING STYLE AND FILM. These methods and observations may vary from your own observations, just do some trial and error. and good luck to it!
This could also possibly work for any other animal character you want to create. Color tone wise. not just for TLK
Some of the tips here can be obtained by certain digital art programs. I am personally familiar with Paint Tool Sai and Photoshop Elements 4. Anything else? You might have to look up a tutorial online. Remember, Google and or YouTube can be an artist's best friend these days! So many references, tutorials, and tips!

I fail at artI was going trough old binders and found some of my ancient "art". Some of it was hilariously bad so of course, being shameless as I am, now it's time to share.
This is how I was drawing when I was a teenager, something around 15-17.
Behold my weaboo phase! Yes, I was drawing animu. I never got a good grip on that style so it's all hideous.

Deep. Deep as a puddle.
Remember kids. If you fail at anatomy just add random lines. Random ass  lines make everything better. Yep.

How to make good comics: FailMaybe it's because I'm a (self proclaimed) comic artist, but sometimes people come to me to ask for advice about how to make good comics.
Aaaaand to be honest, I have absolutely no idea.

Hello and thank you for having me. I am an Astrospace Engineer. I'm currently doing graduate work in a university lab designing some satellites that will be launched into orbit within the next year or two. I'm also leading a team to design a rocket payload through the rocket club on campus as well as taking part in an internship to design the electronics for a quadcopter. With regular classes on top of that, dA is one of the few outlets I have to occupy my free time.
